Dale Russell Johnson, 75, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 26, 2011. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Racine, OH to the late Curtis and Bertha Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a 1954 graduate of Racine High School and later served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. On January 31, 2000 he retired from Ruhlin Construction Co. as Director of Mechanics and Logistics after working there for 26 years. Dale enjoyed woodworking, watching his grandchildren play ball and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry, Roy and Clyde Johnson. He is survived by daughter Lisa Strausbaugh and son-in-law Brian and son Kevin (Beth) Johnson, his other children include; Krysti, Todd, Scott and Troy. His grandsons Josh, Nick and Hunter and other grandchildren Alex, Kaleigh, Bradley, Brandon, Cassie and Mason, his sisters; Della Sauer of Point Pleasant, WV, Ruth Smith of Racine, OH and Eileen Cartwright of Nashville, TN. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 4-7PM Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to "Generation Rescue" and Waynedale High School Athletic Booster Club.
