Evelyn A. Thomas, 80, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Kenmore, OH to the late Harold & Grace Truex. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Medina Church of Christ, and was a former volunteer working with handicapped children in Apple Creek. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker and an avid gardener.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her former husband Richard L. Thomas.
Evelyn is survived by her five sons & daughters-in-law; Gary of Orrville, Gregg & Tisha of Strongsville, Jim & Linda of Wadsworth, Todd & Tanya of Pataskala, OH & Matt & Monica of Carroll, OH. There are 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sister and brother-in-law Helen & Leo Doyle of Wadsworth, & brother & sister-in-law James & Pat Truex of Wadsworth, 3 nieces & 2 nephews.
The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Friday and 10-11AM Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM with Jim Duty officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
