Robert L. "Bob" Emery, 78, of Wadsworth passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010.
He was born February 17, 1932 in Copley to the late Demetrius and Eva Emery.
Bob was a graduate of Copley High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of Northside Christian Church, a former member of The Copley Kiwanis, Wadsworth Lions, and the Beach & Pool Operators of America. For 30 years Bob and his wife Darlene owned Loyal Oak Lake Park and for 15 years owned Ridgetop Golf Course, and was a former partner of Burnley Emery and Associates Real Estate.
Robert was preceded in death by son Robert Emery Jr. and 3 brothers and 7 sisters.
Bob is survived by his wife Darlene, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage, his children; Denise Emery of Norton, Jack (Lori) Emery of Wadsworth, and Sandra Emery of Copley, daughter in law Viola Emery, grandchildren; Todd McHenry, Michelle (Will) Charles, Meghan Emery, Jessica Emery, C.J. Emery, and Jake Englehart, and siblings; Grace Emery, Donald Emery, Elsie Gilles, Mary Pyles, and Martha "Dolly" Laukhuf.
The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor Ernie Graf officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
