Herbert R. Abrams, 93, of Wadsworth passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011. He was born on December 13, 1917 at Johnson's Corner to the late John and Ida Abrams. Mr. Abrams was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, was a WWII Army Veteran and was retired from the State of Ohio. He was a former bus driver for the Wadsworth City Schools, enjoyed bowling and was a member of Wadsworth American Legion Post 170 and Wadsworth VFW Post 1089.
Preceding him in death are his sister and brother in law Elizabeth and Bill Martin and brother and sister in law Bob and Jean Abrams.
Herbert is survived by his wife Phyllis with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services from 9-11AM.
