Geraldine L. Adams (nee: Smith, Rittenour), 70 years old, passed away suddenly on 9-9-09. Mom was born in Wadsworth, OH and graduated from Copley High School in 1959.
She worked at Edwin Shaw Hospital for 13 years as a dedicated Nurses Aid and worked several more years in Home Health Care. Later in life she was a loving homemaker who continued giving her all, by devoting her life to childcare outside the home and her loving family and grandchildren, especially her dearest Elizabeth. The Light of her life.
Mom was always there for anyone that needed her and gave her all and more, never thinking of herself.
Preceded in death by former husbands Jerry Rittenour and Gene Adams, father Eugene Smith, brothers George Smith and Bobby Smith. Left to mourn her loss are her loving daughters Sherry (David) Mino and Terry (Eric) Wilkerson, mother Gyneth Bee, brothers Charles Smith and James Smith, sisters Beverly Husk, Shirley Silket and Connie Hirst, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-9 PM Monday and two hours prior to services on 11-1 Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
