Rollin E. Barr, 92, of Wadsworth died Thursday, July 30, 2009. Born March 22, 1917 in Lucas, Ohio to Ralph and Gladys Aby Barr.
Rollin was a graduate of Lucas High School and the last survivor of the 14 students of the class of 1934.
Mr. Barr worked at Westinghouse in Mansfield for 35 years before retiring and traveling. He lived in Hendersonville, N.C. before moving to Wadsworth 11 years ago.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Logan Barr, two sons and daughters-in-law Sanford and Brenda Barr of Cummings, GA and Kevin and Nancy Barr of Wadsworth, grandchildren Darren Barr of Wadsworth, Shannon Venner (Jason) of Wadsworth, and Brad Barr (Kristi) of Texas, brother Richard Barr of Ashland, and sister Marjorie Shingleton of Mansfield.
Preceded in death by siblings; Doris Lohr, Mabel Jones (Leonard), Byron Barr, Mervin Barr (Mafalda), and infant sister Miriam.
Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with service to follow at 11:00 AM Tuesday. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lucas, Ohio at 1:30 PM.
