Ethel A. Crown, 91, of Wadsworth passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009. Born April 16, 1918 in Akron, OH to the late Clifford G. and Violet A. Gron.
She was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church and a former buyer for M. O'Neil Co.. After retirement she became very active with the Merrell United Methodist Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Ralph Crown, her stepmother Goldie Gron, grandson Clifford "Ted" Crown, sisters Katherine Wolf and Violet Jane Gron, and one great nephew Eric Cox.
Mrs. Crown is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Clifford and Sandy Crown of Wadsworth, granddaughter Tammie (Barry) Basinger of Portage Lakes, great grandson Cody Crown Basinger, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Dan Cox of Sharon Center, brother and sister-in-law Clifford John "Jack" and Shirley Gron of Tallmadge, and sister Jean Wotring of FL. There are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also surviving.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Rev. Jerry Penrod officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10:00-11:00 Saturday.
