Robert N. Gardner, 82, of Norton died Monday, May 17, 2010. He was born August 12, 1927 in Wadsworth to the late Heber and Hilda Gardner. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. and was retired from Babcock and Wilcox with over 30 years of service.
Bob is survived by his wife Lois, two sons Edward of Wadsworth and Peter of Ashtabula. There are 3 grandchildren, one great grand-daughter and his siblings Warren Gardner of Lynchburg, VA, James of Lady Lake, FL, and Jerry of Copley, OH, foster-brother Van T. Jarvis of Smithville, OH, and sisters; Nina Shook and Margaret Trent, both of Wadsworth, OH, Mary Lent of Albuquerque, NM, and Frances Papp of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his sister Alice and brothers Hallie and Charles.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday.
