James R. "Rick" Gorfido, 64, formerly of Medina and West Palm Beach, Fl more recently of Painesville, OH died Sunday May 9, 2010. He was born March 20,1946 in Medina, OH to James and the late Flora (nee Maitland) Gorfido. Mr. Gorfido served in the National Guard and had worked as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser. He was a former Elder at Freedom Ranch in Florida, a little league baseball coach for 10 years and loved hunting. Rick is survived by his wife Cynthia (nee Hastler) of Painesville, one son Tadd Gorfido of West Palm Beach, Florida and one daughter Nikkole Gorfido of Painesville. Also surviving are his father James Gorfido of Medina, two sisters and brothers in law Cindy and Michael Merz of Medina, Debbie and John Estes of Medina, one brother and sister in law Sam and Toni Gorfido of Florida along with several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday with Pastor John Glenn officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
