Medina-

Jennie Marie Lapina, 93, of Medina passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. She was born on October 23, 1918 in Jeanette, PA to the late Alexander and Veronica Grabowski. Mrs. Lapina was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her life's work was her family, she was a dedicated, loving, caring and compassionate wife and mother. As her life went on she extended that dedication, love, caring and compassion to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Outside of her family she found pleasure in reading, collecting recipes and watching cooking shows on the television.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert J. Lapina Sr. with whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage, one sister Martha Caralli and one brother Edward Grabowski.
Jennie is survived by her children and their spouses: Albert J. Jr. and Mary Ann Lapina, Allen R. Lapina, Kenneth D. and Janie Lapina, Veronica M. and Jerry A. Spears, Barbara J. and Martin Hemens and S. Dennis and Rosie Lapina. There are ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also surviving.
The family will receive friends 2-5PM Sunday, November 27, 2011, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St. Wadsworth.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Medina, 797 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
