Betty Mellott, 76, of Wadsworth passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009. Born Nov 13, 1932 in Wadsworth to the late Leonard and Effie Stringfield.
Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Kohl's Shopping Group and enjoyed shopping in the Amish Country.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Mellott.
Surviving are her daughter Sandy Sprankle of Wadsworth her step-daughter Robin Sands of Wooster, and siblings; Joyce McCrork of Wooster, Dean Stringfield of Angola, IN, and Doris Stark of Tuscon, AZ. There are many nieces and nephews also surviving.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Chaplain Ruth Ellen Moore officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services from 12-2 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
