Charles H. Mencke, 80, formerly of Brunswick more recently of Doylestown passed away Friday, February 25, 2011. He was born on December 9, 1930 in Cleveland, OH to the late Robert and Ramona Mencke. Mr. Mencke was a member of Bricklayers Local #5 and attended Ridgewood Baptist Church. He loved flowers and gardening.
Charles is survived by his wife Charlotte with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage, their children Julie (Jim) Ferguson of PA, Jan (Diane) Mencke of Medina, Chip (Lucy) Mencke of Elyria and Karen (Bob) Sobczak of Roaming Shores, OH. There are ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also surviving.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Ridgewood Baptist Church, 7981 Ridge Rd., Wadsworth with Rev. Charles Whitlock officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Cemetery.
