Herbert H. "Herb" Ratliff, 80, formerly of Akron more recently of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday August 8, 2009. Born April 26, 1929 in Greasy Creek, KY to the late Marion and Ellie Ratliff. Mr. Ratliff was retired from the McNeil Co.
Herb is survived by two sons Lonnie Douglas (Christa) Ratliff of Kentucky, Herbert Lee Ratliff of West Virginia, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters Hazel Coleman of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Ruby (James) Scalf of Tomahawk, KY, Sylvia (Herbie) Springston of Amelia, VA, one brother Denver Ratliff of Akron, OH and his dear friend Joan Starcher of Wadsworth, OH and her family.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday at the home of Joel Robinson, 3749 Greasy Creek Rd., Shelbiana, KY where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday August 12 with Preacher Jimmy Jack Adkins and his son officiating. Interment Ratliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Magnolia Village Activities Department 765 Johnson Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281 or to Hospice of Medina County 797 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
