Helen J. Savage, 80, of Wadsworth, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011. She was born August 26, 1930 in Morgantown, WV to the late Alex and Julia Messiora. Mrs. Savage was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ , was retired from the Barefoot Sole Co. after 30 years of service and Alternative Flash after 15 years of service. She was active at the Wadsworth Senior Center, volunteered at Wadsworth Rittman Hospital and loved going to yard sales.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and cooking for them. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her son Ric, brothers Steve and Alex Messiora.
Helen is survived by her son and daughter in law Steve and Debbie Savage of Tiffin, OH, sister and brother in law Shirley and Butch Matthews of Morgantown, WV, her grandchildren; Tracey, Stevie, Jim, Chuck, Mike and Jon and her great grandchildren Kendall, Kelcie, Brandon, James, Emma and Jonathan.
The family will receive friends 12 - 2 PM Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
