Irene M. Weber, 86, of Wadsworth passed away August 1, 2011. She was born March 22, 1925 to the late Carl and Lena Poder.
Irene was a member of First Christian Church in Wadsworth for many years and was retired from the Wadsworth City Schools, where she was a school cafeteria manager at Franklin Elementary where she loved the children who affectionately called her "Grandma". Later in her career she also worked at the high school cafeteria.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edmond Louis Weber Jr., her infant son Charles, 2 sisters and 3 brothers and 1 son in law.
Irene enjoyed her family and is survived by her sons Edmond (Sharyn) Weber of Wadsworth, John (Pat) Weber of Wadsworth, daughter Lourene (Punky) Allison of Wooster, brother Charles Poder of Wadsworth, as well as 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, with Rev. James Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 9:00 - 10:00 AM. Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth.
